OSMONICS REPORTS SALE OF
OZONE TEST CHAMBER BUSINESS

Minnetonka, MN ... Osmonics, Inc. (NYSE/OSM). Company officials announce that the Orec Test Chamber business and associated ozone monitor business have been sold to CCS Instruments, Inc. for an undisclosed sum. This is part of Osmonics’ ongoing business rationalization related to the Phoenix facility closure. Osmonics’ objective of continued customer service for the Orec Test Chamber product line has been achieved with the placing of the business with a company of the caliber and the market synergies of CCS Instruments, Inc. CCS Instruments, Inc. provides laboratory instruments, calibration services and technical services to the rubber, textile, plastic and metal processing industries.

Effective immediately, the manufacture of the Orec Ozone Test Chambers and accessories will be moved to the CCS Instruments, Inc. Akron, Ohio facility. CCS Instruments, Inc. will also assume responsibility for the calibration, service and provisioning of replacement parts for the existing Orec Ozone Test Chambers.
